After much anticipation the CSRC/GIS Lab Ski outing is finally in the works for mid March. I'd like to invite all of you to come and join us for a fun filled day at Wildcat ski area for some good snow and fond memorys. Since lifts open at 9am and close at 4pm we will have plenty of time to play and enjoy ourselves throughout the day. To top off the day a group of us will be meeting at Marcello's in North Conway for a hearty Italian dinner. Our last outing this past summer on the Saco River was a great success and this one looks to be shaping up to be as much fun from the positive reactions that I've received so far. Presently I'm trying to work out the best date for our excursion so that everyone who wished to go can go. I've picked out two different possible plans with bad weather contingencies. If you're interested in joining us, please let me know which date would be best for you.
   Wed. March 14th with
   a bad weather date
   of Wed. March 21st

Wildcat is a fun and exciting mountain for skiers and riders of all abilities with many green beginner and bunny slopes as well as rip roaring black diamonds for the more experience skiers and cross country trails for those interested. Wildcat has a 2100 ft vertical off the top of the mountain and is situated in the heart of the White Mountains in Jackson, New Hampshire directly across from Mount Washington. Lift tickets are two for one on Wednesdays for a per person cost of $19.50. Driving time to Wildcat is just about two hours from Durham. For those interested in joining us for dinner apre ski on the way home, Marcello's is a great Italian restaurant in North Conway with huge Italian entree's for everyone's taste. For those of you who are interested in comming with us, please let me know which date is best for you by March 7th so that I can let everyone know of the final date and details a week before our excursion. We might also rent a van or two if everyone wants to carpool. Everyone is invited to come with us, so if I missed anyone on the E-mail list please pass along the invitation. Family and friends are also welcome.
