2.3- Altering Legends and Symbiology



In order to alter the legend of your View, you must first double click in the legend box in order to make the legend editor active.



Once the Legend Editor is open, you can change the colors for specific attributes and/or edit the labels for each attribute. Click on Legend Type and select Unique Value. In order to edit the color of a specific attribute, double click on the attributes existing color and this will pop open a color palette.

This color palette allows for the selection and manipulation of existing colors in order to customize your View. By using the the slider bars which control Hue, Saturation, and Value you can manipulate the existing colors to make them lighter, darker, and/or adjust there tint. Once you have selected a color scheme for your legend, you can then edit the feature labels if it is needed.

To edit the feature labels, click in the text area of the legend in the text box for the specific feature you want to edit. Type in the label which you want to appear in your legend, continue this process for all the other attributes you want to edit.
